Exploring Advanced Analytics Implementation

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to describe the Advanced Analytics implementation process.

Advanced Analytics Interfaces and Timing

  • Advanced Analytics is implemented immediately following the Career Site Builder site go-live.
  • Advanced Analytics pulls data beginning when the CSB career site went live. The date that Advanced Analytics is configured makes no difference.
  • Configuration for Advanced Analytics is done in a back end application. Role-Based Permissions are set in the Admin Center.
  • Advanced Analytics is implemented in production only, and all changes are live immediately.

Status Mapping Overview

  • Five standard statuses are displayed in Advanced Analytics reports. Although you likely have many more candidate statuses in SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting, all are mapped to these statuses in Advanced Analytics:
    • Apply Completed
    • Qualified
    • Interviewed
    • Offer Made
    • Hired
  • In addition, ATS Capture maps statuses that you would like to remain hidden.
  • All candidate statuses must be mapped. For example, if you have multiple not hired statuses, each must be mapped to a status, usually ATS Capture.
  • If a status is not mapped when the integration is run, the sync will fail.
  • Note that Advanced Analytics has a 50-character limit for candidate status names.

Status Mapping Example

  • Here is a mapping example. Determine which statuses are important for you to track. For example, you may want to map the Background Check status to Offer Made.
  • Notice that the Talent Pipeline (candidate status set) contains status groups.
  • For example, the Interviews grouping includes Schedule Interview, Phone Interview, and Onsite Interview.
  • Work with your SAP SuccessFactors implementation consultant to map each status.
This screenshot shows an example of a status map and highlights the statuses for Interviews and Offer.
This screenshot shows additional status examples in the status map.
This table shows various statuses and the associated mapping.
This screenshot shows the drop-down options for one of the statuses.

Load Cost Data to Advanced Analytics

  • Are you interested in reporting on your external vendor expenses to recruit?
  • Cost information cannot be loaded directly. A Support ticket must be submitted for assistance.
  • You will need to provide cost data broken out by vendor, product, annual cost, and start/end dates, as shown in the sample.
  • Keep in mind that we can only load cost against sources where traffic is captured in the analytics. So, nothing will load if you attempt to load the cost for an offline source or something that doesn’t appear in Advanced Analytics.
This screenshot shows example cost data added to advanced analytics.

Training

  • View common reports used by customers in the SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting: Candidate Experience Administration course (HR832).
  • You can link to download HR832 from the SAP SuccessFactors Administrator Learning Center (SFALC) - see the SFALC & SFX Quick Start Guide for instructions to access (S-user ID authentication required).
  • If you would like training specific to your data and needs, we recommend you contract for consultation with the Professional Services Advanced Analytics team.
  • Typically, this training is done two or three months after Advanced Analytics is live because we have to wait for the hiring cycle to complete for a few jobs to have enough data to demonstrate the reports.
  • If requested, Professional Services can also help you understand why the data is populating how it is and confirm that it’s being done correctly.
