Custom help text is used to provide additional information about the purpose of a field for users entering data into the field. This option can be useful if you want to include helpful hints about company processes directly on the forms to help employees and/or candidates populate the correct information.
Custom help text is available for requisitions, applications (candidate view and recruiter view), profiles, and offer details.
A question mark (?) is shown next to the field. When clicked, the help text displays.

A user can be given the permission to create custom help text.
- If role-based permissions are used: Manage Permission Roles→Manage Recruiting→Manage Recruiting Custom Help Text.
- If the customer uses legacy permissions: Admin Center→Manage Recruiting Administration→Manage Recruiting Custom Help Text.
