Managing Recruiting Groups

Objectives

After completing this lesson, you will be able to:
  • Create recruiting groups.
  • Define recruiting group permissions.

Recruiting Groups

Recruiting groups allow a user to limit who can be selected in the requisition operator fields (for example, recruiter or hiring manager), making it easier to work with large groups of people by reducing the amount of time spent on administrative tasks.

Managing Recruiting Groups

Recruiting groups are set up and updated by using the Admin Center.

Follow these steps to create a new recruiting group:

  • Create a new group.
  • Choose Group Members (People Pool): Add by category or add individuals.
  • Choose Done.

Choose Update in the Group Membership box to get a count of the number of users matching the criteria specified.

Each group can include multiple people pools. People pools are defined by the filtering criteria they contain. For instance, a people pool can include users where the Employee Profile contains a department value of Staffing and a location value of San Francisco. Use one pool for AND conditions, such as including all employees in the Staffing department (one people pool) OR staff located in the San Francisco location.

To use recruiting groups, your consultant must make changes to the XML file or you may use Manage Templates for Recruiting.

Note

To edit a group, you must be logged in or proxy as the original creator of the group. When creating groups, it is best practice to log in or proxy to a shared admin account that all recruiting super admins can access.

Recruiting Group Member Permissions

Recruiting group members’ permissions are defined in the back end of the system or Manage Templates for Recruiting. The permissions match to the permissions of the operator. For instance, if the recruiter has a group created, any user selected for this specific role follows the permissions set in the back-end system for the recruiter.

Refer to the Recruiting Roles lesson to learn more about operators used within the Recruiting module.
