Enabling SAP Embedded Support for Ticket Creation

Objectives

After completing this lesson, you will be able to:
  • Enable the SAP Embedded Support
  • Create a support ticket for any SAP Sports One incident
  • Explain the SAP Companion and how to use built in support

Activate SAP Embedded Support

Once you have created an S-user and have access to it, you can start the process in setting up SAP Embedded Support for SAP Sports One.

The first step is to create an SAP Universal ID or verify that you already have one. Your SAP Universal ID serves as a wallet for managing your SAP user identities. It ensures lifelong access to your account and preserves your reputation such as learning certificates and community content.

To create a new SAP Universal ID, please visit the SAP Account Settings Page. From here, please click on the avatar in the top-right corner (next to the flag icon) and log in using your basic SAP account credentials. If you don't already have an SAP account, please take a moment to register.

Afterwards, please click on Manage my Account.

You will then be redirected to your account section, where you can link your newly created S-User to your email address.

Next, return to your SAP Sports One system and click on Need Support, located under your profile picture in the top-right corner. From there, you can activate the SAP Embedded Support feature and log in using your SAP Universal ID.

To get started, first click on Account, then select the Get Started option.

Once you're in your account settings, you can sign in using your SAP Universal ID. Simply click Link Accounts to connect your existing accounts, such as your S-user IDs. Finally, to activate SAP Embedded Support, click the Authorize S-User ID button. In the Authorize Client window, select Authorize to complete the process.

You are now ready to create tickets and incidents directly from this platform and follow the outlined process. These steps will be covered in more detail in the next lesson. If you encounter any difficulties enabling the SAP Embedded Support feature, please reach out to your SAP contact person for assistance.

Create SAP Sports One Support Tickets

With SAP Embedded Support enabled, you can create a support incident directly within the SAP Sports One web app using the Built-in Support platform - without needing to leave the application.

Before proceeding, please ensure you have completed the following steps:

  1. Have the admin role in SAP Sports One.
  2. Possess an SAP S-User.
  3. Link your SAP Universal ID to your SAP S-User.

After completing all the steps, you can create a support ticket. To do this, click on your profile picture and select Need Support?. Then, click Report New Issue and describe your problem by providing a clear and meaningful subject along with a detailed description. The more details you include, the better the support team can understand and resolve your issue.

Be sure to select the component SAP Sports One IS-SE-SPS. You can also set a priority for your support ticket, but please choose High only if the issue is seriously preventing you from working with SAP Sports One. Attaching screenshots or a screen recording is highly recommended, as it helps us better understand the problem. Once everything is filled out, click Create Incident to submit your request.

You can also track the status of your support tickets at any time by clicking Review My Incidents.

Built-In Support Features

It’s not just important to know where to create a support ticket. Within SAP Sports One, there are also built-in support features. The so-called SAP Companion provides helpful tips and step-by-step guidance directly within the SAP Sports One web app. You can access the in-app help by clicking the question mark in the top-right corner or pressing F1.

Within the SAP Companion, you'll find direct links to the SAP Help Portal, Learning Journeys and What’s New, making it easy to access relevant resources.

The SAP Companion offers valuable tips and step-by-step guidance directly within SAP Sports One. As you navigate through different areas, such as the Enhanced Questionnaires, you'll find detailed instructions to help you make the most of each feature.
