Introduction Person Profile

When considering professional team management, the first thing that typically comes to mind is having a clear overview of all the persons' master data. This overview is provided by the Person Profile at an individual person level. In SAP Sports One, you can simply click on a player (and on a staff member) to access the person profile. To be precise, you can access a person's profile either by selecting the team and then clicking on the player (or staff member) or by using the search function in the top navigation menu.

On the player profile, you'll find a detailed player overview, including general player information, health data, match statistics, training data, scouting data, player ratings and much more.

Note

The person profile differs slightly between players and staff members. For example, players have sections for Training List and Player Ratings, while staff members (coaches) have for example a dedicated CoachInsights area. However, most team management related sections remain the same. That's why, in the next lesson, we will explore the person profile as one for players and staff members.

One crucial element for the team management is the General Information area. It contains essential personal information, making it a key part of the profile. In the following section, we will explain the individual components of the profile in more detail, including what data can be documented, where the data comes from, and how and which information can be adjusted.

Note

To be able to access the Person Profile, you need as an example the role of Administrator or Team Manager and the permissions for the corresponding groups at Persons/Teams. An overview of all SAP Sports One user roles and permissions is available on the SAP Help Portal (User Roles | SAP Help Portal).
