In addition to documenting a player's master data, you can also add notes that can be applied across various areas. These might include medical notes, contact information, youth player development discussions, and more. These notes can also serve as reminders, such as when we need to follow up with the player or their agency on e.g., contract topics.
Before adding player notes, it's important to create note categories. To do this, go to the Settings section at Admin. Then, click on Categories and select Note Categories. Here, you can create and organize note categories that will later be available when creating player notes in the player's profile.
As a best practice, we suggest the following configurations for note categories in SAP Sports One.

Once you've created note categories, you can return to the player's profile. At Notes, you'll have the option to create new notes for the player. Simply click Add Note, then enter a note title, assign a note category, select a reference date for the note, and provide a detailed note description.

Once the note is saved, you can view who created it and when. You'll also see the reference date and the note's category. Additionally, the update date, reference date, and category can be used as filters at the top of the notes page.
You can upload attachments to a note by clicking on the paperclip icon. This will take you to the attachment interface, where you can easily add new media.
By hovering over the note, you can edit or delete it. Additionally, you have the option to manage the permissions for each note, which is especially important. This allows you to control who has access to each note individually. You can assign permissions by selecting a person or a person group. Please note, you will only be able to see notes for which you have the appropriate permissions.
