The Visual Publisher is an open source, third-party tool similar to SAP Crystal Reports that can be plugged into SAP SuccessFactors Ad Hoc reporting. It allows companies to manipulate the data in ways that Ad Hoc does not support (that is, relabeling columns, performing calculations, and adding graphs, titles, and introductory text).
For reference, the pre-built Standard Reports are built in Visual Publisher and are accessible at no cost. To enable Visual Publisher, companies work with a Professional Services consultant or Customer Success. Visual Publisher is open source software; however, SAP SuccessFactors does not provide any training in this tool.
YouCalc
YouCalc is a tool to build interactive graphic representations of data using the data from Ad Hoc Reporting. The Recruiting YouCalc widget appears on the top of the Requisition tab. It is the only pre-built YouCalc attribute in Recruiting module.
Companies may commission custom YouCalc dashboards to appear in the Reporting tab of the application by working with Professional Services or Customer Success.
Online Report Designer 3
Online Report Designer (ORD) is a more advanced in-system reporting tool compared to Ad Hoc Reports. It provides some of the same advanced features of Visual Publisher, but in a more user friendly environment and without an add-on product.
Online Report Designer is only available to companies who have also purchased either Workforce Planning or BizX Talent Insights because these engines power the data in ORD.
