Purging Data

Objective

Data Purge Management

The admin permissions available for Data Purge include the following:

  • Create Request
  • Approve Request

Note

Enable Data Retention Management must be checked under company settings in the back end of the system for Create and Approve request options to appear.

Users can be given permission to create or approve a data purge request through the Admin Center.

  • If role-based permissions are used: Manage Permission RolesManage RecruitingManage Data Purge.
  • If customer use legacy permissions: Admin CenterDefault User Permissions.

With this permission, the administrator can submit a purge request by using Admin CenterCompany SettingsData Management.

Data Purge Management - Submission of Request

To submit a request, proceed as follows:

  • Navigate to Admin CenterCompany SettingsData Management.
  • Select Create New Purge Rule.
  • Name the request.
  • Set criteria.
  • Set the country (multi-select the country from a dropdown list).
  • Specify Retention period in days.
  • Select Approvers (that is, the admins with Approver permission).
  • Submit the request.

Manually submitted requests do not execute immediately. The request has to be approved by all approvers before being executed. Approve the request in Admin CenterCompany SettingsMaintenance Monitor.
