Creating Onboarding Tasks

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to build and implement an Onboarding Task.

Steps for Creating an Onboarding Task

Create an Onboarding Task Step-by-Step
Step 1: Click the blue plus (+) button to create a new item

Step 2 : Select Onboarding Task

Step 3: Name the Task and click Continue

This will appear to your end users and should be clear and actionable.

Step 4: Choose the Smart Walk-Thru or Resource to associate with the Task

After you have selected the item type, select the specific item you want to associate with the Task.

The dropdown of items is dynamic and will change based upon the item type you choose.

Step 5: Set completion criteria

Best Practice: Select Goal Complete

To set a goal:

  • Click Goal Reached.

  • Click Set a Main Goal.

  • Fill out the Condition Builder as necessary.

  • Click Done.

Step 6: Click Save and Done

To continue editing this Task, click Save and continue making changes.

Step 7: Add Item to the Task List
  • Click the four square application icon.

  • Select Menu Organizer.

    You will be redirected to console.walkme.com/menu

  • Select the Task Tab to the right to see your Onboarding Task options.

  • Drag the relevant Onboarding Task to the Task tab.

  • Click Save.
