Adjusting Training Session Questionnaires

Objectives

  • Assign questionnaires to a training session to ensure player feedback is collected before and after sessions
  • Explain how to receive an overview of all responses in SAP Sports One to adjust changes in micro planning depending on response of players

Assignment of Questionnaires

The creation of questions and questionnaires in SAP Sports One has already been dealt with in detail in previous units. These questionnaires are excellent, for example, for macro planning at the beginning of a specific time period. In addition, the questionnaires can also be assigned to a specific event, which is particularly important for micro planning.

The following explains how a questionnaire can be sent before or after a training session and how the answers can be linked to the training event.

At Training Information in the Training Planner, for each training session, you can individually define which questionnaire should be sent to the participants of the training session and at what time.

Questionnaire Response Overview

After the questionnaires have been sent out, it is interesting for both the coaching team and the club officials to see how the players have responded. The results are an important way of gathering feedback from the players and make adjustments where necessary. In this context, the analytics section offers valuable support.

How to analyze the questionnaire results in the area of analytics has already been covered in the Planning Training Management: Macro Planning unit. Please have a look at it if you have not already done so.

Nevertheless, SAP Sports One can be used directly to get an overview of the player responses of a questionnaire, regardless of whether it is a questionnaire for the daily checkup or whether the questionnaire is linked to a specific event.

Note

To be able to manage the enhanced questionnaire responses, you need the role of administrator and the corresponding permission on Questionnaire at Enhanced Questionnaires. An overview of all SAP Sports One user roles is available on the SAP Help Portal (User Roles | SAP Help Portal).

If you have the required permissions, you can manage the enhanced questionnaire responses on Enhanced Questionnaires at Analyses.

After you have selected the corresponding questionnaire, you can navigate to History. There you will find an overview of all dates and times of the questionnaires. By clicking on the respective date or time, you will get to the results of exactly this event. At this specific time, you can see the answers and whether a player has answered or not.

After selecting the checkbox to the left of the name of the player, you have the option to edit the results. Furthermore, you can delete and export the results by using the buttons in the upper right corner.

It is equally important to know how the questionnaire is perceived by a player and in which way they can give their feedback. The possibility to reply via SAP Team One is explained in the context of communication in training management in the Validating Targets at Season End unit.
