Handling Training Planner

Objectives

After completing this lesson, you will be able to:
  • Add training exercises to a training session to depict team exercises in micro planning
  • Add sequences to a training session to depict athletic exercises in micro planning
  • Manage exercises to ensure flexibility in micro planning

Addition of Team Training Exercises

In SAP Sports One, a distinction is made between a team training exercise and an athletic exercise. The distinction between these two exercise types is not only important when creating an exercise, but is now also evident in the Training Planner when planning a training session.

Note

The differentiation of training exercise and athletic exercise has already been described in the Agreeing on Targets at Season Start unit. Please have a look, if not already done so.

In this lesson, we will look at how a team exercise can be added to the Training Planner and what other functionalities the Training Planner in SAP Sports One offers.

The following simulation guides you through the process of adding team exercises to the Training Planner of a training session.

Hint

You are also able to add the newly created exercises to the exercise catalog. This functionality is described in the next lesson.

Addition of Athletic Exercises

As already mentioned, a distinction is made between a team training exercise and an athletic exercise.

Training Planner Management: Exercises and Sequences

Now that you have learned how to add all kinds of exercises to the Training Planner, let's look at the management options for the Training Planner.

As soon as you choose the ellipsis (…) of an athletic exercise sequence or a training exercise, you have the option to copy the sequence or exercise for the training group. You can also delete the exercises and sequences from the Training Planner here.

In addition, you can also adjust the order of the training exercises and sequences. To do this, use the drag and drop functionality to rearrange the exercises. By double-clicking the duration of an exercise, you are also able to adjust the duration for an exercise. This functionality was already described for sequences as part of the video in the previous lesson.
